Four Seasons recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month by creating a variety of pretty-in-pink cocktails. Put on your rose-coloured glasses and check out the recipes below.
This October, the top mixologists at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts are ready to “think pink” in order to raise both awareness and money for a very important cause.
More than 30 Four Seasons properties have created tasty pink-hued cocktails in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with a portion of the profits going directly to local cancer charities.
Visit a participating restaurant or bar during the month of October to “Celebrate the Pink Lady,” when venues from New York to Hawaii to Bora Bora will be serving up specialty pink drinks inspired by the classic Pink Lady cocktail. Pink-inspired menu items include Baltimore’s “Madam Lotus” and Los Angeles at Beverly Wilshire’s “The Pink Lady Sweet Experience,” which involves Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial poured into pink tulip-style champagne flutes accompanied by chocolate-covered strawberries.
Even if you can’t stop by Four Seasons to have one shaken up at the bar, you can easily celebrate by making one of these delicious recipes at home!
Vahine’s Spirit, Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora
SERVES 1
Ingredients:
1 oz (30 ml) Absolut Apeach Vodka
2 tsp (10 ml) Passoã Passion Fruit Liqueur
4 tsp (20 ml) lime juice
Splash of strawberry syrup
Splash of grenadine
Method:
1. Pour ingredients in a shaker over ice.
2. Shake well and pour into chilled martini glass.
3. Garnish with cumquat fruit, strawberry and cherry.
Vida Pink, Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco
SERVES 1
Ingredients:
1.5 oz (45 ml) St. George California Agricole Rum (formerly Agua Libre Rum)
4 raspberries, muddled
3 mint leaves
¼ lime, juiced
.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup
Roederer Estate Brut Rosé
Method:
1. Combine rum, raspberries, mint leaves, limejuice and simple syrup in flute glass.
2. Top off with Roederer Estate Brut Rosé.
Wahine Ᾱkala, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea
SERVES 1
Ingredients:
1.5 oz (45 ml) Bombay Sapphire Gin
.75 oz (22.5 ml) fresh raspberry purée
.5 oz (15 ml) sweet and sour mix
1 egg white
2 dashes grenadine
.5 oz (15 ml) St-Germain
Sugar, for garnish
Method:
1. Rim martini glass with grenadine and sugar.
2. Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into martini glass.
